Which rubber is used for construction-equipment mounts?
For mounts under vibration and dynamic load, natural rubber (NR) is usually preferred for its high fatigue life and damping. If there is oil contact, NBR (nitrile) is recommended; for outdoor/ozone exposure, EPDM. Hardness is typically selected between 40 and 90 Shore A per application.
Which rubber is resistant to oil and fuel?
NBR (nitrile) resists oil, fuel and hydraulic fluids and is standard for seals and gaskets. For high temperature combined with oil, ask us about HNBR/FKM.
Which rubber for outdoor / ozone / steam?
EPDM is excellent for weather, ozone, UV and water/steam, but it is not resistant to petroleum-based oils.
Which rubber for extreme heat or cold?
Silicone keeps its flexibility from −60 °C to +200 °C and suits extreme-temperature applications.
